Manny's biggest hit of the season was a game winner. The Rhinos went on to add two more in the inning for a 6-2 win over the Brother Elephants. Chen Huan Yang, who came in to get one out in the 10th, also pitched a clean bottom of the 11th for the win.
Ramirez certainly seemed to enjoyed the moment, as he embarked on one of the slowest home run trots you'll ever see. It took the 40-year-old just over 30 seconds from the time the ball hit his bat until the time he crossed home plate - yet I don't think that has anything to do with his age.
The local television announcer, who has become a bit of an internet sensation in baseball circles after his first home run call, doesn't disappoint in this one either. It seems he has been working on his English as he uses the words "goodbye", "home run", "2 run home run" and possibly even "she's gone".
The home run was Manny's only hit of the evening. He now sits at .322 on the season, with three home runs and 13 runs batted in.
The win moves the Rhinos 1.5 games ahead of the idle Lions for first place in the CPBL. The Lions and Monkeys will play tomorrow night's only CPBL game, 6:35 pm in Taoyuan.
